“Even though the fig trees have no blossoms,  and there are no grapes on the vines;
even though the olive crop fails, and the fields lie empty and barren; even though the flocks die in the fields, and the cattle barns are empty, YET I will rejoice in the LordI will be joyful in the God of my salvation!”  ~Habakkuk 3:17-18 (NLT)

Life has a way of dealing some hard blows.  Things get rough.  The unexpected happens.  It looks as if there is no win.  We often wonder how we can bounce back from various circumstances and situations.  Money isn’t right.  Bills are due and overdue.  Well, it is during those times that we have to grab a hold to faith.  It is our faith in God that keeps us going.  Faith is trusting God, even when we don’t understand His plans.  We live by faith.  The bible declares that we walk by faith and not by what we see.  If we went according to what it looks like, we’d have given up a long time ago!  But, our faith ought to endure and shine through, in spite of.

In the scripture above, the Prophet Habakkuk has given several scenarios that would normally cause one to want to throw in the towel.  Remember that in those days, harvesting and crops and things of that nature was their livelihood.  So if those situations that he described in verse 17 were happening, they would be in big trouble!  But the prophet said, even in this, YET I will rejoice!  And THIS is the God kind of faith!  It is FAITH that causes one to say “IT IS WELL” when all HELL is breaking loose!

So, I say to each of you today, hold fast to faith.  Regardless as to how dismal the situation looks, declare out of your mouth and in your spirit, IT IS WELL!  God responds to an active faith!  He will come to your rescue.  Trust that God knows what He’s doing.  You ought to have a “yet praise” in you somewhere!  No matter how bad it looks, YET I praise You!  So my friends, in the midst of, in spite of and in the middle of, REJOICE…still.

Until next week…..

A Real Love

“If I give everything I own to the poor and even go to the stake to be burned as a martyr, but I don’t love, I’ve gotten nowhere. So, no matter what I say, what I believe, and what I do, I’m bankrupt without love. Love never gives up. Love cares more for others than for self.  Love doesn’t want what it doesn’t have.  Love doesn’t strut, doesn’t have a swelled head, doesn’t force itself on others,  isn’t always “me first,” doesn’t fly off the handle, doesn’t keep score of the sins of others, doesn’t revel when others grovel, takes pleasure in the flowering of truth, puts up with anything, trusts God always, always looks for the best, never looks back, but keeps going to the end.”  ~1 Corinthians 13:1-7 (MSG)

Today is Valentine’s Day.  The day of love.  Spouses and couples in relationships and friendships exchange flowers, candy, cards…as a token of love.  What a beautiful gesture.  But, there are those that are not in marriages or relationships.  There are those out there who don’t feel loved.  Sadly, depression and suicide sometimes stem from pure loneliness. And many of these cases can be cured if only they knew that they WERE loved!

I just want you to know that God loves you.  He loves you JUST as you are! There is nothing that you’ve done so bad that He will ever take His love away from you. You can’t get so low that the love of God can not reach you.  God doesn’t just HAVE love, HE IS LOVE! I know that you may want a companion to love but until God sends him/her, let the LORD love you!  His love is so real. In 1 Corinthians 13, the Apostle Paul reminds us of what REAL love is.  This love, God’s love is available to you.  As the song says, His love NEVER fails, NEVER gives up and NEVER runs out on you.

On this Valentine’s Day, I want to share something with you all that I read from one of my sisters in Christ, Evangelist Latina Cunningham.  She shared some REAL wisdom on this subject.  Take a look at this.  She says…

Can i give some of you ladies some advice and wisdom . Stop telling all your business on FB everybody don’t need to know about your relationship! If you post more about a relationship then you post about your accomplishments and goals you need to really have a reality check. If nobody else tell you the truth let me be the first STOP IT! It makes you look bad and its not lady like nor is it classy. Get to a place where your emotion are govern by GOD and not a man. Some of y’all got more patience for a man than your own children whom you carried and gave life too. You rather take the time and energy to help raise him then your children. If you dating you need to date with a goal marriage but my friend, my sister, my daughters make sure that you’re ready to date stop dating to fill voids and empty spaces in your life and to make you feel like you somebody. Some of your post tell the secrets of your heart and show the wounds of your frame. Remember while you trying to date and be found sharks smell blood! Be healed and made whole Beautiful because you are so worthy of the best you just got to know it! love you all! Happy Valentines Day!”

WOW!  What wisdom!  For more, please check her out on Facebook:

I hope you guys have a wonderful Valentine’s Day and I’ll see you next Wednesday.

Until next week……

This won’t be a long one. So just receive it as it comes.

Holy Spirit said to me just a few minutes ago to tell His people that He’s coming.  He then showed me a tractor. (Weird, right?) I asked Him what that tractor meant.  He said to me that “I’m coming with ANSWERS but it won’t be the way they think I’m coming.  I’m coming in a different way and only my sheep will know that it’s me.”

I prophetically declare that within the next 7 days, the Lord is going to show up in an usual way for you.  He will come with answers to prayers that you’ve had up before Him.  He will come with MIRACLES! Holy Spirit is going to even speak to some of you regarding a location change.  Not only are some of your zip codes about to change, your STATE is about to change.  SEVEN DAYS

Within this seven days, Holy Spirit would have me say to you that increase is going to hit your house.  He said “those that have been faithful to me and my house, I shall be faithful to their houses.” SEVEN DAYS! “I will have you to speak of more testimonies” saith God. “For I the LORD shall do it! Yea, even I shall perform it.”

I speak prophetically that because of the strength of the Lord, you are going to kill what’s been trying to kill you! For some of you He says “fast again.”  There’s someone reading this now that has felt Holy Spirit urging and tugging at you to go on a fast.  DO IT THIS WEEK! Within seven days.  Even if you’ve just come out of fasting, Holy Spirit says FAST! You’ve got to prepare for this miracle!

And, whatever church/ministry you’re at, sow a special sacrificial seed into the leader(s) there within the next seven days! IT’S GOT TO BE A SACRIFICE! This seed is going to unlock that which has been held up for you.  This seed is going to bring healing to your body and your mind.  This seed is going to even unlock spiritual gifts in you.  And those gifts that were lying dormant, the spirit of the Lord says that it’s coming alive AGAIN! SEVEN DAYS!

If you’re a senior Pastor of a ministry, sow a seed into YOUR pastor within the next seven days!  The Lord is going to speak to some of you senior pastors through your own pastor.  Receive wisdom.  I even hear the Lord saying “strategy.”  Some of you have been asking the Lord for a strategy for growth.  He’s speaking to you within the next seven days.  KEEP YOUR EYES AND EARS OPEN IN THE SPIRIT!  HE’S GOING TO SHOW YOU AND SPEAK TO YOU IN A DIFFERENT MANNER! Remember the tractor.

It is so!!! SEVEN DAYS!!!!!

One of the men lying there had been sick for thirty-eight years. When Jesus saw him and knew how long he had been ill, he asked him, “Would you like to get well?”  “I can’t,” the sick man said, “for I have no one to help me into the pool at the movement of the water. While I am trying to get there, someone else always gets in ahead of me.”  Jesus told him, “Stand up, roll up your sleeping mat and go on home!”  ~John 5:5-8 (TLB)

“Ninety-nine percent of failures come from people who have the habit of making excuses.”  ~George Washington Carver

Today, I really want to tackle that spirit that causes us to make so many excuses.  Excuses in our lives give us permission to settle for less than God’s best. It seems we always have an excuse for our shortcomings. We always have something or someone else to blame for our less-than-perfect life. It is never our fault. We continuously brand our insecurities through seemingly justifiable alibis. We declare this is how it always is for us, for our families. Most failures come from a history of excuses and a lack of perseverance.  How is it that it’s never us?  How can you never see YOURSELF in a matter but can see everyone else so clearly?  Time has been over for that!  It’s time to grow up!

I was watching a show last year, I believe, and there was a woman who is well into her 50’s, she was harboring hurt from something that happened 35-40 years ago! I was amazed!  How is it that we ALLOW ourselves to be hurt for that long? I could see it if there was a death involved or something like that, but, someone simply hurt your feelings and you’re going to be mad and hold a grudge for 40 years?  Ridiculous! This was her EXCUSE as to why she was being mean and nasty toward people. No one can tell you how to hurt and how long to hurt but at some point, you’ve got to make a decision to let go and live!  You do have the RIGHT to be hurt, but, it’s YOUR responsibility to get healed from it!  I firmly believe that some people don’t want to be whole because being broken is the only thing that gets them attention! NO MORE EXCUSES!  Get healed from it and move on!

People are severing relationships, friendships, leaving churches, blaming family for the turmoil that they are experiencing, when the truth of the matter is, sometimes we made bad decisions that causes us to be in the rut or predicament that we’re in.  “They hurt me so I’m going to have a bad attitude the rest of my life.”  Some people actually live like that.  They go through life being mean, angry and possessing a nasty attitude, because their feelings were hurt. Question, when are you going to allow yourself to be free from that?  Understand that anger that hasn’t been dealt with will result in bitterness and as Christians, we can’t operate like that.  You can’t get somebody free from something that you’re bound by yourself!  And as far as leaving churches go, your job/boss/supervisor hurt your feelings or said something that you didn’t like, but you go back there!  We’ve got to do better!

I’m so tired of seeing and hearing “I’m cutting people off…” If you have to KEEP cutting people off, stop and consider this: the problem may not be them, it may be YOU! Then there’s “everybody can’t go where I’m going.” And you’re right because until you get that attitude right, get healed and learn how to take correction, YOU aren’t going anywhere! Stop making excuses!

The man in our scripture today made excuses.  Yes, he was legitimately sick for a very long time.  Yet, in my studies, it never said that he himself was paralyzed.  We do believe that he may have been because there were others there that were paralyzed as well. However, when Jesus saw him laying there, He asked him “Wilt thou be made whole?” In other words, “would you like to get well?”  Here comes the excuses.  “Well, I do want to be well but I don’t have any help. Nobody will put me in the pool. There’s always somebody in front of  me.” Excuses, excuses, excuses! Jesus didn’t go back and forth with the man.  He gave him ONE command…GET UP! The man immediately got up, started walking and went on his way.

That’s how so many people are today. Making excuses for why they’re broke.  Making excuses for why they don’t have a job. Making excuses for having a bad attitude. The list goes on and on.  Benjamin Franklin said this, “He that is good for making excuses is seldom good for anything else.”  My friends, I want you to know that God is a healer and a mender of broken hearts.  I know you’ve been hurt.  I know things have been rough.  But you’ve got to let God in and let Him do surgery on your heart.  This is the only way you’ll stop making excuses and live your best life.  Do you want to be well?  If the answer is yes, then today is your day of freedom!  Do like the man in the scripture above, GET UP!

Genesis 3:12-13 Adam and Eve made excuses.  Exodus 4:10 Moses made excuses.  Jeremiah 1:6 Jeremiah made excuses.  There are so many others in the bible that made excuses.  But once they heard from God, allowed HIM to deal with their hearts and their excuses, they went on to do great things!  Let Him into your heart today.  Yes, there is greatness in you, but you’ll never achieve that while continuously making excuses.  You can either make changes or make excuses, but you can’t do both.

I love the people of God and I believe that we can live better than we ever have lived before but we’ve got to get up, grow up and stop making excuses.

Until next week…..

“When Pharaoh finally let the people go, God did not lead them along the main road that runs through Philistine territory, even though that was the shortest route to the Promised Land. God said, “If the people are faced with a battle, they might change their minds and return to Egypt.” So God led them in a roundabout way through the wilderness toward the Red Sea.  Thus the Israelites left Egypt like an army ready for battle.”  ~Exodus 13:17-18 NLT

I’d like to share a transparent moment with you. On yesterday, I looked back over my life and began to say to myself, “I should be further along than I am.”  I began to beat myself up for some of the stupid and immature decisions that I made early in my life.  In my mind I was saying, “If I had only gone THIS way instead of THAT way, things would be different for me…”  I felt as if my personal ministry should be further along; I felt as if I should be making more money than I’m currently making.  I was upset with myself for a little while.  But this morning, I heard the word “detour” in my spirit.  I then looked it up in the scriptures and I saw Exodus 13.  I won’t get into all of the details surrounding that scripture because it’s a bit lengthy.  But I was able to recognize that even though I chose the wrong paths sometimes, it was clearly the will of God for me to be where I am today.  And that’s where I want to speak to you from today.

The word detour is defined as a roundabout way or course, especially one used temporarily when the main route is closed.  When the Israelites came out of Egypt, logically, it would have made more sense to go by the way of the Philistines to get where they wanted to be, however, God took them another route.  He caused a detour.  It took much longer than it would’ve taken had they gone “the easy way.”  Now I know why I had that little battle yesterday.  The Lord wanted me to know that He is yet in control.  No matter how WE feel our destiny should be, it is HE that controls our life and our destiny is in His hands.  We must learn to TRUST Him in our detours!  The way God leads us may not make sense to us, but He has His reasons for each and every detour.  And because we know that God is good, we can therefore trust that His every reason for these detours is equally good.

It may take you longer than you expected to get to your Promised Land, but know that every one of your steps has been designed and already walked out by God.  You may not know the way, but He knows!  Job 23:10 says “But He knoweth the way that I take: when He hath tried me, I shall come forth as gold.”  And the way that we take can sometimes detour.  It’ll place you on an entirely different path.  This place is unfamiliar.  This place is not normal.  This place we’re not used to.  And that’s the point!  God wants you to stop looking at what is considered to be ‘normal.’  He wants you to trust Him even in the unfamiliar.  He detoured you on purpose!  He allowed this discomfort that you feel.  The question is, will you yet trust Him?  God will close the main route so that you will have to totally depend on Him.

So, every time you begin to feel like you should be further along in life; or you begin to feel down because you feel that it’s taking too long for you to reach your destined place, remember that He is still in control of your life.  He allowed these detours to happen.  And there’s even better news! 2 Chronicles 16:9, the Message Bible version says God is always on the alert, constantly on the lookout for people who are totally committed to him.”  God is looking out for you in your home; on your job; in your church; wherever you are in your life, He’s there!  His eye is always on you, even in your detour!

I believe that God allowed me to experience this so that I would be able to encourage your hearts.  Take courage.  Whatever road you’re on, know that it’s ordained of God and He will NOT leave you!  He won’t let you crash and burn.  It’s not what you expected.  It’s not “the main road” but He is yet looking out for His people.  Isaiah 42:16 says “And I will bring the blind by a way that they knew not; I will lead them in paths that they have not known: I will make darkness light before them, and crooked things straight. These things will I do unto them, and not forsake them.”

I’ll leave you with a song by Lashun Pace that has ministered to me for many years:

“If I were in control of my life, I think that I would have worked things out differently.  There would be no hurt, no pain, no disappointment; of these things, my life would be scott free.  But, that just goes to show how little I know about leading…about controlling my life; for you see, all these things have worked together just to make the best of me. God controls my life and my times are in His hands.  And I’m learning each and every day to trust Him, come what may.  If I were in control of my life, I know that I would have worked things out much differently.  But, my times….are in His hands.”

He’s still God…even in the detours.

Until next week…..

It’s BREAK Time!

“Unrelenting disappointment leaves you heartsick, but a sudden good break can turn life around.”  ~Proverbs 13:12 MSG

No matter what job or career you have, after a certain point in the day, we need a break.  Generally, if you work a full 8 hour day, our employers allow a half hour to an hour lunch break and two 15 minute breaks.  15 minutes isn’t a very long time but that break allows you time to unwind; to de-stress; to take your mind off of the task at hand.  It is actually against the law for employers to not give break time.  Everybody needs a break.

That’s how it is in life.  Things can be hectic.  Over and over life can throw so many curve balls.  Have you ever found yourself saying:  “If it isn’t one thing, it’s another.” Or, “I’ll be glad when this is over.”  How about “I’m SICK of this!”  Sounds familiar doesn’t it? Well, I have some GOOD NEWS for you…IT’S BREAK TIME!!!

The Holy Spirit gave to my leaders to prophetically declare that 2018 was going to be the year of a SUDDEN GOOD BREAK!  And I want to declare to each of you that is reading this right now that it is YOUR time for YOUR sudden good break too!  Our scripture lets us know that life can be so disappointing at times.  Things happen in life that will leave you heartsick.  But Solomon goes on to say that just ONE good break, a SUDDEN good break, will completely turn your life around!  Oh yes…IT’S BREAK TIME FOR YOU!

The word “sudden” is defined as ‘happening or coming unexpectedly.’  THAT is what God is doing for you in this season, this year.  He’s going to do unexpected things!  You won’t even see it coming!  It’ll be SUDDENLY!  He’s going to give you a BREAK from the disappointments of life!  A break from being stressed out. A break from being depressed.  He’s about to send you on break!  Get ready for a SUDDEN turn around!

God’s about to allow you to experience a season of rest. Rest for your mind.  Rest for your spirit.  SUDDENLY!  It’s time for your break!  I prophetically speak even now that a calming will come over you!  This is the peace of God that you’ve been longing. You’ve been looking for it. And now, SUDDENLY, here HE comes to save the day!  Enjoy your break!  No sad tears this time!  During your ‘break’ I speak the oil of JOY over your life!  No more bloodline curses!  It’s break time for you!  The curse is broken NOW, in the name of Jesus Christ!

There’s so much more that the Holy Spirit has given me to share with His people.  I want you to rejoice in what God is doing for us!  He’s about to allow us to experience ‘suddenly after suddenly!’  So, ENJOY YOUR BREAK!!!

If you’re on WordPress reading this, please reblog it!  If you’re reading this on Facebook, please share it with your friends.  If it’s on Twitter, retweet it!  Somebody needs to know that it’s break time!  Help me share this all over the world!

Until next week…..

May I Borrow A Cup Of Sugar?

Hello friends!

Today, I have chosen to feature an amazing book that I have had the pleasure of reading.  I’ve actually read it FOUR times!  LOL…it’s that good!  It’s from author, Dr. Linda Stennis.  The title of the book is “May I Borrow A Cup Of Sugar?”  Interesting right?  Let’s see exactly why she entitled it the way that she did.

*The following excerpts are all that of Dr. Linda Stennis and are quoted as she has written in her book*

“In this closing dispensation we shall witness God’s ability to position us as it pertains to Kingdom connections.  Expect God to send new people into your life.  These new associations are coming to help usher you to your next level. God is sending Kingdom connections that possess more resources and influence than what you currently possess.”

Dr. Linda goes on to say, “Walking into God’s divine Kingdom connections is as simple as asking your neighbor to borrow a cup of sugar.  How can anyone say no to that? Remember, it’s a supernatural Kingdom set-up. God wants to take the work and effort out of your drive and ambition and connect you with the right people and resources.”

In the chapter that she entitled “Guess Who’s Coming To Dinner“, Dr. Linda lets us know that “Supernatural Kingdom connections transcend racial, religious and culture lines, because God is no respecter of persons.  When God is involved, connections are made according to your destiny!”  So powerful!

In a chapter she calls “All That Glitters…” the author warns us.  She says, “take time to evaluate the friends and associates in your life.  Eliminate habits and relationships that are hindering your progress and focus your energy on moving forward.  God wants to connect you with people that are not always controversial.  You can’t have a healthy relationship with someone when there is constant strife and disagreement.”

I could go on and on about this book!  Now, maybe you see why I’ve read it four times!  She goes on to talk about “Public Enemies At Large: procrastination, deliberation, hesitation and routine.” There’s so much more!

I want each of you to make SURE you have this book in your library.  You can go to or to to purchase your copy today!  Also, Dr. Linda and her husband Dr. Curt have written several 5 Star books together!  Those can be purchased at the above websites as well.

Connect with them on their ministry page. I’m sure they’d love to hear from you!

Get this book and get ready for every Kingdom Connection that God has designed for your destiny!

Until next week…
